2015 Harvest for Hunger Campaign
2015 Harvest for Hunger Campaign
February 17, 2015

Each year, the Second Harvest Food Bank joins with other area businesses and organizations to run the Harvest for Hunger Food Campaign. This campaign helps to raise awareness and much needed food for those less fortunate families in our areas. For the eighth year in a row, Payne, Nickles & Company is proud to be partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank as a drop point for the drive!

Between February 22nd – April 11th, 2015, funds and non-perishable food items may be dropped off at either of our Payne, Nickles & Company locations. All of the food and money stays right here in the Crawford, Erie, Huron and Lorain counties. The food and funds raised are put to use by local organizations serving hungry people. Of these hungry people, 43% are children and 11% are elderly. Many who are hungry are poor working families; our neighbors and coworkers.

By purchasing food at greatly reduced prices and passing that savings along to member agencies, Second Harvest is able to stretch $1 far beyond the usual. Second Harvest also receives food from wholesalers, distributors, restaurants and caterers. All of this food is available to hunger relief organizations with the funds donated to Harvest for Hunger.
