What You’ll Do
As a Paraprofessional, you’ll play a key role in client support, working closely with our accounting staff to deliver high-quality accounting and payroll services. You’ll gain experience across a wide range of industries, with opportunities to develop skills in tax preparation, financial reporting, and client advisory services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing client bookkeeping assignments
- Assisting with basic tax return preparation
- Supporting financial statement compilation
- Processing client payroll
- Preparing payroll tax returns
- Assisting with payroll-related issues and compliance
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. You should be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and communicate clearly with both clients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping experience and payroll knowledge
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- Ability to manage multiple engagements with accuracy and timeliness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Experience with UltraTax CS, Thomson Reuters, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office a plus
- Tax prep experience or willingness to learn tax processes
- Comfort preparing journal entries, compiling financial data, and assisting in report generation
